π Overview
The Store Bundle provides a unified interface for managing inventory across diverse product categories. By combining our Petstore and Toy Store ecosystems, developers can build integrated shopping experiences, manage cross-category stock, and sync customer fulfillment data.
π Authentication & Security
All APIs in this bundle are secured via OIDC (OpenID Connect). To interact with these endpoints, you must include a Bearer token in your request headers:
Authorization: Bearer {{YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN}}
Note: Tokens are scoped. Ensure your application has requested the
store:readandstore:writescopes during the handshake process.
π οΈ Getting Started in the Kong Dev Portal
To start building with the Store Bundle, follow these steps within our developer portal:
- Create an Account: Sign up at the portal homepage using your corporate email.
- Register Your Application: Navigate to the "My Apps" section and click "Create New App."
- Request Access: Find the Store Bundle in the API Catalog and click "Request Access." Select your newly created application.
- Retrieve Credentials: Once approved, your
Client IDandClient Secretwill be visible in your App Dashboard. Use these to generate your OAuth2 tokens.
π Versioning Policy
We follow Semantic Versioning (SemVer) to ensure your integrations remain stable.
- Major Updates (v2.0.0): Breaking changes. These will be deployed to a new base URL and the previous version will be deprecated with a 6-month sunset notice.
- Minor Updates (v1.1.0): New features or endpoints added in a backward-compatible manner.
- Patch Updates (v1.0.1): Bug fixes and security patches.
